"My first apartment in Beverly Hills opened up to a courtyard that had tall old lemon, lime and orange trees that were always laden with fruit. The blossoms would bake in the sunshine all day, then as the sun went down the courtyard smelled so sweet; it was just one of the many wonderful new things to be experience in the California life of 1999. I could almost smell that fragrance as I made this piece. It was the first piece I embossed the leaves (in this case are actually orange leaves), in a hue other than green." ~Alexandra
