Camellia Japonica II

"Camellias are thought of as very Southern, they grow all around Beverly Hills. A tree in my neighbor's yard yields hundreds of bright pink Camellia Japonica blossoms each year. The Japonica is really fun to paint, as it's extremely symmetric, so there's a nice rhythm to building up the image with the brush."
